Leroy Kettle's scurrilous 1970s fanzine True Rat was a highlight of UK fan humour in that decade, and was eventually assembled (together with other comic articles and squibs) by Rob Hansen as a 2018 ebook which in 2022 spawned a real trade paperback edition:
The photo above was taken by Rob Hansen at Skycon, the 1978 UK Eastercon at which our author was fan guest of honour. It is believed that Leroy Kettle OBE looks more distinguished now.
