Bill (William F.) Temple was an early UK science fiction fan and author (also a stalwart of the British Interplanetary Society), a close friend of Arthur C. Clarke, who was active in the fanzines from the late 1930s to the early 1960s. In particular he was a pioneer of the humorous – as opposed to “sercon”, serious and constructive – approach to fan writing. Rob Hansen compiled the best of his fanzine work as a 2017 ebook which was later expanded and in 2022 spawned a real trade paperback edition:
