Publisher’s Note: Puff Love is linked to John Sladek’s later novella Wholly Smokes by the fictitious US corporation GST (General Snuff & Tobacco Company), whose official company history The Golden Leaf is frequently quoted from in Puff Love. Sladek greatly expanded these “extracts” to create the much longer record of GST’s lurid past eventually published in 2003 as Wholly Smokes.
